User Agreement & Intermediary Guidelines under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000

Important Statutory Notice to All Members:

This document is published in accordance with the provisions of Rule 3(1)(a) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, requiring publishing the rules and regulations, privacy policy, and user agreement for access or usage of this matrimonial platform.

1 Platform Nature & Legal Status (Intermediary Safe Harbor)

budhist matrimony agency Matrimony Agency (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform" or "Service") is an online matrimonial matchmaking portal providing a platform for eligible individuals and their families to connect for the purpose of seeking lawful marriage alliances.

The Platform operates strictly as an "Intermediary" under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Consequently, under Section 79 of the IT Act, 2000, the Platform is an intermediary providing an advertising and communication platform and is not liable for any third-party information, data, or communication link made available or hosted by members.

2 Eligibility & Age Requirements

By accessing or registering on budhist matrimony agency Matrimony Agency, you solemnly affirm and warrant that:

  • In compliance with the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 and the personal marriage laws of India, you are of legal marriageable age: at least 21 years of age if male, and at least 18 years of age if female.
  • You are legally competent to enter into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
  • You are not prohibited by any law from seeking a lawful marriage (i.e. you are legally unmarried, divorced with a valid decree of divorce, or widowed).
  • Registration is strictly meant for matrimonial alliances. Any registration for casual dating, friendships, escort services, commercial advertising, or illegal gratification is strictly prohibited and subject to immediate termination.

3 Prohibited Content & User Obligations (Rule 3(1)(b) of IT Rules, 2021)

As mandated by Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you agree, acknowledge, and undertake that you shall NOT host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update, or share any information that:

(i) belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right (including impersonation, using fake photos or stolen identity);

(ii) is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy, including bodily privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, or relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling;

(iii) is harmful to child or minors in any manner;

(iv) infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights;

(v) deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of the message or knowingly communicates misinformation (Catfishing or financial trap);

(vi) impersonates another person;

(vii) threatens the unity, integrity, defense, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order;

(viii) contains software viruses or any malicious computer code designed to disrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer resource;

(ix) violates the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (demanding, advertising, or soliciting dowry in any form is a severe criminal offense under Indian law);

(x) violates any law for the time being in force.

4 Financial Fraud Caution & "Never Send Money" Policy

budhist matrimony agency Matrimony Agency NEVER asks any member to send money or transfer funds to any other candidate or personal account. If any user asks for money, financial assistance, loans, customs/courier clearance fees for overseas gifts, or medical emergency funds, you must IMMEDIATELY REFUSE AND REPORT THE PROFILE to our Grievance Officer and the National Cyber Crime Portal.

The Platform shall not be held liable for any financial loss or emotional distress arising out of independent monetary transactions between users.

5 Mandatory Independent Verification by Users

While budhist matrimony agency Matrimony Agency undertakes best-effort mobile OTP verification, email checks, and optional government ID document reviews, the platform CANNOT AND DOES NOT certify or guarantee the character, financial solvency, employment status, family credentials, marital status, or criminal background of any candidate.

Every member and their family is strictly advised and legally obligated to conduct thorough, independent background verification (including residence visits, workplace checks, reference checks, and public records verification) prior to fixing any marriage or exchange of gifts.

6 Account Termination & Takedown Procedure

In accordance with Rule 3(1)(c) of the IT Rules, 2021, the platform reserves the absolute right to terminate access or usage rights of any user immediately and remove non-compliant information if the user violates any provisions of these Terms or the laws of India.

7 Grievance Redressal & Contact Officer (Rule 3(2))

In compliance with Rule 3(2) of the IT Rules, 2021, any complaint, report of violation, or cyber crime notification may be addressed directly to our Grievance Officer:

8 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute arising out of or in connection with the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Maharashtra, India.
